piano music – text – theatre and dramaturgy – planning – play list – exposition
In each story a certain short piano composition plays an inspiring part. These compositions will be executed by pianists Tomasz Górny & Magdalena Golebiowska (also singing, between the scenes and some times improvising in a scene itself.
Beside outspoken classical works, also modern ones Schubert, Mompou, Satie, Janaçek, Scarlatti, Ernest Bloch, Arvo Pärt, Vicente Greco, Fazil Say, Komitas) also actual compositions from Agnes Obel, Chilly Gonzales en Zbigniew Preisner (music written for the films of Kieskowski). Two compositions are especially composed by Tomasz Górny and Cees Thissen.
The composers are from: Germany, Spain, Russia, France, Italy, Estonia, Brazil, Turkey, Armenia, Denmark, Canada, Poland and The Netherlands.
Leo Divendal about his texts:
‘The texts are based on memories, fantasies, experiences, impressions about life snd culyure, often autobiographical, transformed into fiction. The moods in these stories are quite different. Sometimes romantic, then again absurd, surreal, descriptive, playful or serious reflecting. The red thread is a way of looking to the world, with open sentences.’
The texts are very visual, based on views and experiences and also –without an extra accent- inspired by all kind of arts and sources, favourite piano music
(Schubert, Mompou, Satie, Janaçek, Scarlatti, Ernest Bloch, Arvo Pärt, Vicente Greco, Fazil Say, Komitas, Agnes Obel, Chilly Gonzales,Tomasz Górny, Cees Thissen), film music (Zbigniew Preisner), painting (Hopper, Marquet, Balthus, Morandi), cinema (Buster Keaton, Carlos Saura), photography (Luigi Ghirri, Bernard Plossu), graphic novels (Loustal, Dominique Goblet), literature (Françoise Sagan, Bernlef, Patrick Modiano, W.G. Sebald, Gianni Celati, Junichiro Tanizaki, Haruki Murakami, Italo Calvino), philosophy (Roland Barthes, Emmanuel Levinas, Hannah Ahrendt), culture reflections (John Berger, Georges Perec), choreography (Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Pina Bausch), bookprinting (Peter Bekker –Koekanger Handpers- , Jan Keijser – Avalon Pers), history (Claude Lanzmann, Shoah) and architecture (Oscar Niemeijer, Tadao Ando).

Theatre and dramaturgy
The scenes are Visual, literary and musical. The theatre performance has been developed organically out of the stories. The story has been completed by its imagination on stage.
Two actresses, MB & IT are, together with the pianists TG & MG, the ensemble. These actresses and musicians and visual artists, all around 30-35 years, are in the mid of their lifetime and work.
Each scene will be followed by a played music composition, sometimes already starting during the scene. In the scenes the music plays sometimes its dramatic part. The building up of the stories is in such a way that the performance is growing and ripening into a rich experience of impressions, feelings and thoughts.

The scenes are composed within works of international artists, reacting on the stories. In a theatrical way story, image and music are entering the audience, touching all the senses.
In each scene or in between the scenes there will be projections of two visual works, based on or inspired by the stories, one from the Brazilian side, and one from the European. There will be also an English, French and Portuguese translation available in the theater, in the catalogue, which makes the performance international accessible.
The fifteen performances will take place between the end of November 2015 until half of April 2016. In Amsterdam and other cities in Holland. We did approach the theatres our selves, to cooperate the best to make the best performances in each place, each time again. This commitment has been appreciated very much and helps to reach the audience the best as possible.
